Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Mother Tongue Productions is bringing the award-winning musical to the Montreal stage. Company founder Keith Trevor Hernandez has put together an epic portrayal of East German rock goddess Hedwig Schmidt and her backup band The Angry Inch—named after the remains of Hedwig’s botched sex-change operation. Discover an outrageous and often unexpectedly hilarious story featuring local artists and a lot of rock’n’roll.

Wit & Wrath: The Life & Times of Dorothy Parker
This one-woman show from Claudia Baumgarten skewers Dorothy Parker’s tumultuous love life, her Round Table writers, the Jazz age, and the cultural desert of Hollywood in the 20s. The show is making its Canadian debut at Fringe after playing to rave reviews and sold-out performances throughout the U.S.

Choose your own adventure—theatre style! Montreal’s own Bare Minimum Theatre presents a new musical where audiences get to pick the plot twists. CC can’t wait to bring home new boyfriend Christopher. But when he walks through the door, he realizes he’s crossed paths with CC’s mom before. How does he tell his new girlfriend? Well, that’s entirely up to you!

Mom Ballet
This world premier from Montreal troupe Slippery Moon Theatre is set entirely in a washroom—the place where we all do our best thinking. Featuring 3 ballet dancers and a guitarist, Mom Ballet is about motherhood and the decision to have children, pondering everything from pointe shoes versus baby boots to all the funny and heartbreaking decisions a mom-to-possibly-be must make along the way.
