In conjunction with Kiwanis International and Pointe Claire’s Calistoga Grill; West-Islander Peter Angrove, Ross Griffiths and a bevy of Volunteers will once again be giving of their time and efforts, hosting the latest edition of  BANDS FOR BASKETS, this being their 8th annual fund raiser to supply Christmas Baskets for families in need this holiday season

This Sunday, December 1st, 2013, at Calistoga Grill from 2 PM to 11 PM, 8 well-known Montreal area Musical Acts will be donating their time, energy and talents, to supply Christmas baskets to some of the less fortunate families in the Montreal Region.

The “Bands” performing will include:

With the help of these Performers and some great Montreal media personalities, this nonprofit organization has been able to bring food to the table of struggling families during the yuletide season.

The 7 previous editions of “Bands for Baskets” have proven to be a great fund raiser and provider to many happy families; and this event continues to grow in it’s popularity, year after year. The efforts of all those involved prove that as the day grows longer, and the more fun that is had, causes familiarity to breach the billfolds, and those present are more than eager to reach into their wallets (a) for the great entertainment, (b) the event and get-together, but most importantly (c) the cause to help those that need that extra hand for the Holidays.

At this time, when most of us are thinking of sugar plums and gifts, some less fortunate children will also have eaten well, before bedtime. Those that give their time and energy to this cause, have a smile on their face knowing they have helped this happen.

Admission is a mere $10, and all gets underway at 2pm (ending somewhere around 11pm).

Your presence is welcome, as well as contributions for the Baskets.

*Any and all contributions of $100.00 or more can request a receipt for tax deductions.
