I just got in from watching Spiderman 2 when I got a text. Bob Hoskins has died.
For anyone who loves great character acting, Hoskins was and still is one to watch. From his amazing turn in the little seen The Long Good Friday to his iconic Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, this actor showed amazing range. He could go from calm and gentle to just plain bombastic in seconds. His parts got smaller as he got older but they were still pure performances. For good measure watch Mona Lisa, Mermaids and Unleashed for a pure Bob Hoskins experience. Never hammy, always professional and a true artist. I’ll miss him.
